Joy Institute of Beauty and Human Therapy is a Talent based Learning Institution established in 2020 with the sole aim of equipping young mothers and school dropouts who were at the time displaced by the heavy rains in Kisumu County with the interest of equipping themselves with knowledge and skills to enable them start a successful career and be Independent.

However, we realized there is a bigger margin not only for the young mothers and school dropouts but also beauticians with life and work experience but no papers or graduates who may extensively want to transfer their Credits to Degrees what is generally referred as Recognition of Prior Learning (RPl). We offer courses in the field of: Cosmetology(Study of hair and beauty care), Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, Nail technology, Facial Make-up, Fashion, Events Planning and Decoration .

Talent Based Learning (TBL) is significantly different from Academic Learning in which access to education is based on grades and the end product is also grades! Talent Based Learning (TBL) is based on the concept of there must be a professional assessment before prescription”. Talent this becomes the driver for passion resulting in “intuitive learning” rather than academic learning for grades.”

Over the years, Joy Institute of Beauty and Human Therapy has expanded and now has five branches in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret and the newest addition; Meru County.
